Shallowater High School is now part of the West Texas High School Bowling Club. We meet Tuesdays at 6:30pm and Saturdays at 12:30pm at Whitewood Lanes. You do not have to know how to bowl in order to participate. There are great coaches that will teach you. You will also have a chance to advance to regionals or maybe even the state championships. Mirroring UIL standards, students compete in a controlled alcohol/tobacco free environment during competition and have the opportunity to earn collegiate scholarships. The program includes practice sessions, inter scholastic competitions, uniforms, and awards.

At Shallowater Theatre, we believe in the transformative power of the performing arts. We're not just a club; we're a creative family where dreams take center stage and stars are born. With a rich history of excellence, we're dedicated to nurturing talent, fostering teamwork, and creating unforgettable moments under the spotlight!
What we Offer:
One Act Play
Middle School One Act Play - August-November
High School One Act Play- January-May
The UIL One-Act Play is a competitive theatrical event hosted by the University Interscholastic League (UIL). In this event, high school theater programs select and perform a one-act play. The performance is judged by a panel of theater professionals, and schools advance through district, regional, and state levels of competition. It's an exciting opportunity for students to showcase their acting and technical skills while competing against other schools for recognition and advancement. Winning at the state level is a prestigious achievement that Shallowater has made appearances three times before and were State Champions in 2021!
Theatre Classes
Theatre I and II classes are offered to middle school and high school students needing their arts credit or are interested in learning more about theatre! In these classes, students learn effective communication, teamwork and collaboration, and confidence building through theatre projects.
Kids Camp
Kids Camp is offered in the first week of the summer for all K-8 students. In a week we rehearse, build and perform a play!
How to support Shallowater Theatre
We would love to see the community attend our productions! The High School One Act Play company performs one in the fall as well as the Middle School One Act Play. In the spring, High School One Act Play will perform. Keep up to date by following our Facebook Page, Shallowater Theatre. We hope to see you there!
